My name is Patrick Cox, The Cre8ive Consultant. 

For the last ten years, I have been helping local businesses with their digital marketing needs. Services I offered included:

  • Virtual Marketing Assistant

I’ve worn many hats for many people. I’ve helped start a successful nonprofit, created howlingly fun social media posts for a dog trainer and designed websites for medical professionals, educators and even rocket scientists. It’s been a blast!

Over the years, I’ve come to love writing and designing unique and engaging content to improve brand recognition. However, I’ve come to realize something that changed my entire view of marketing: the proof is in the pudding. If you want to earn someone’s trust (or business), you need to show them the products and/or services you offer actually work.

What sets me apart from others?

I believe excellent writing must come from deep within. While a professional writer needs to own a strong vocabulary and demonstrate a complete understanding of syntax and semantics, these are both learned skills. A good writer has an intuitive ability to connect with their reader, and a great writer has earned, through personal experience, the ability to move them. While this is true and represents my writing abilities, I am even more passionate and committed to helping those in need, which awards me the heart and soul to cultivate empathy.

No, I’m not super-powered, but I do have a keen sense of how people feel. Empathy enables me to write with emotion. Empaths can move away from “the norm” and relate to consumers on a much deeper level. Empathy is incredibly beneficial in this industry because when I write, my goal is to help your audience develop an emotional connection to your brand.

Over the last ten years, I've dedicated much of my life to helping others. Whether it's teaching adults with autism how to grow food, sharing the message of a local nonprofit or seeking help for someone in need, a life of service is the life for me. It's the path I choose to walk and while it hasn't always been easy, I wouldn't have it any other way. It's given me perspective and a wealth of experience to draw from when writing.

As an Independent Contractor, time is everything to me. I love my work, but I also love my family. It’s vital the time I spend working for you is spent wisely.

On a personal note: I’m married with three daughters, a dog, and three cats. I love animals and helping others however I can. I enjoy spending time in the garden and when I can, I help out at All Breed Animal Rescue of the Carolinas (ALLBARC).

My office is located in Selma, NC. I have several local vendors, designers and photographers I work with on a constant basis and provide a variety of digital marketing services for small businesses and nonprofits in the Raleigh, NC-Durham, NC-Chapel Hill, NC and surrounding areas.
