Welcome Entrepreneurs, Small Business Owners and Non-Profit Organizations!
My name is Patrick Cox and I am the Founder of The Cre8ive Consultant.
After spending the last 10 years working with local small business and nonprofits, I have come to realize one thing:
I do my best work when I am helping others!
The Cre8ive Consultant's Mission
Our mission is to provide solo/entrepreneurs, small business, and mission-driven organizations with creative solutions designed to assist them in meeting their goals. We do this by taking a holistic view of who they are and what they hope to accomplish, then aid them in developing the areas that need the most help.
Whether it's working with an established nonprofit on a grant, coaching them on how to best leverage social media to spread their message, or working with a new entrepreneur on how to set up a Marketing Plan or Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, my goal is to serve you in whatever manner you need, so you can get busy making the world a better place.
Before I get ahead of myself, let me tell you about who i am and how I got here.
Growing up, I spent the first 14 years of my life moving every two years. My father was in the Navy and like many "Military Brats", I learned how to adapt to change quite well. A skill I honed over the years and the foundation of who I am today.
At the age of 14, I began working at a local print shop and for the next 20 years I learned every aspect of the print industry. From Running a press and managing the finishing department to customer service and sales and marketing, I held every position offered and specialized in printed marketing collateral.
In 2002, I needed a change and went to work in the retail industry. I managed a Starbucks for 5 years and developed strong relations with local influencers and community leaders. I realized the value of community and by getting involved with neighborhood issues, I was also helping to grow our business. Starbucks leadership program offered many opportunities for personal and professional growth and I took advantage of every single one. I also went back to school and majored in social science.
In 2012, I was elected Director of Community Relations for Legacy Farms, a local nonprofit green care social venture dedicated to providing support services and agrarian based vocational training for adults with autism, as well as other developmental and social challenges. In 2016, I became the Interim Executive Director and aided them by developing of a full year of services. This included a Spring Break Program for high school students getting ready to enter the workforce, and a Summer Garden Program that lead to the hiring of over 1/2 a dozen people with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Although the work we did at Legacy Farms was probably my most rewarding, I still felt as if am on the cusp of something greater, and I am finally coming to realize exactly what it is: To use my experience and skills to help others grow without the headaches and issues we faced early on at Legacy Farms. It took some time to get there though and I learned a lot more on more journey that taught me a great deal about personal branding, business development and digital marketing. This includes:
Nonprofit Executive Director
Digital marketing provider
Social Media manager
each opportunity provided me a chance to grow and learn. My goal is to use the skills I gained and experience I earned to aide you in the growth of your business.
Experienced entrepreneurs know that running a company that eventually fails can actually help a career, but only if the executives are willing to view failure as a potential for improvement.-Harvard Business Journal *
What sets me apart from the others?
Everyday, I hear this question and love it, because it allows me the opportunity to share what I can do and how it will benefit those who choose to work with me.
